Symphonic Junction: Vier Jaargetijden Revisited

Charismatic recorder player Erik Bosgraaf joins forces with Iranian musician Farid Sheek and the Residentie Orkest. Together they perform a dazzling interpretation of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, accompanied by a spectacular, tailor-made animation by Paul and Menno de Nooijer—a true feast for both ear and eye.

With his friend and sound artist Jorrit Tamminga, Bosgraaf bridges Venice of 1723 with the Hague of today. A few years ago, musician Farid Sheek, who fled from Iran, adds a deeply personal dimension to The Four Seasons, drawing inspiration from his birthplace Isfahan. He performs on the daf, one of the world’s oldest percussion instruments, bringing its timeless resonance to this iconic masterpiece.
