Dance Iranian Style

After having been denied refugee status, Roya, an Iranian girl, decides to stay in Amsterdam illegally. Attempting to capture the experiences of an undocumented refugee, a film crew follows her at a distance. Following a film-within-a-film story structure, the true events begin to blend with fictional elements and vice versa over the course of the film.

In 2015, Sheek composed the music for ‘Dance Iranian Style’, an Iranian-Dutch documentary that got nominated for the NFF and the New York Film Festival.
